Simon Dale has been announced as the new Head of Technical for Ozo Innovations Ltd, the Oxford-based smart, sustainable hygiene solutions provider.

Simon has worked as a consultant for the company since 2021, helping the business to grow its understanding of the food industry. Then, in September 2024, he became a permanent member of the team and is focused on delivering improvements in hygiene, whilst making operations more sustainable, and reducing costs for clients.

Commenting on the appointment, Mark Poole, Ozo Innovation’s CEO, said: “Simon brings a wealth of food safety expertise to our team. His knowledge and experience of technical and production management in the food industry will help us to deliver world class hygiene systems for our customers, that are sustainable and cost effective.”

Simon has a proven track record of delivering robust food safety systems as well as developing new products and processes across a wide range of food products.

Before joining Ozo Innovations, Simon ran a successful consultancy business, provide a range of support to companies from small start-ups to major global food businesses.

Simon was also part of the team which set up Ella’s Kitchen and grew the business from an idea, to what is now the UK’s largest baby food brand. It was turning over more than £80 million when he left the business in 2020.
