Ozo is committed to supporting sustainable practices and shaping a more sustainable future. As part of the ‘2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development‘, the United Nations lays out a set of 17 SDGs. Ozo currently directly impacts four of these goals and aims to support them by helping to:
- Goal 2: Zero hunger
Ensure sustainable food production systems and implement resilient agricultural practices that increase productivity and production - Goal 3: Good health and well-being
Substantially reduce the number of deaths and illnesses from hazardous chemicals and water pollution and contamination - Goal 6: Clean water and sanitation
Improve water quality by reducing pollution, minimising release of hazardous chemicals and materials, and increasing recycling and safe reuse globally. Ozo will help to substantially increase water-use efficiency in food manufacturing - Goal 12: Responsible consumption and production
Achieve the sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources. Ozo will contribute to halving global food waste and reduce food losses along production and supply chains. Ozo will encourage companies, especially large and transnational companies, to adopt sustainable practices and integrate sustainability information into their reporting cycle
Ozo also indirectly impacts a further six of these goals.
